It's a JBL-GTO804.
8" 4-ohm subwoofer
polypropylene cone with Hi-roll rubber surround
power range: 50-200 RMS watts (800 watts peak power)
frequency response: 30-400 Hz
sensitivity: 91 dB

Yes, I pulled the stock pioneer sub out and installed the JBL powered by a new amp I installed. I had to modify the box a bit and add a spacer because the JBL has a big frame but it sounds so much better than stock and I haven't even put it all back together yet.
I need to get a battery for my Digital Multi-meter. Once I turned the gain down it stopped so I think once I get it dialed in it should be good to go. Thanks again for all the help, I really appreciate it!!
Alright, I have a question...
I set my gain and everything using a DMM and had it sounding good, I went on a trip and really used the sub and amp for the first time and it was about a 3 hour ride. Towards the end of the ride the bass really started hitting harder and louder so I adjusted the bass down on the head unit. On the way home it started doing the same thing towards the end of the car ride is the amp possibly getting to hot? or is the amp and sub just getting broken in and I should recheck the amps settings again?
