Installing XM Radio help

Ok, I've tried to read up so as not to pester everyone.

Because I didn't have much space in the car I bought an adapting kit that lets me mount and swivel the unit.

My problem now is that im going through FM Modulator which sucks. I imagine GM made it difficult to install an aftermarket XM unit (Aux problems) since they offer it with the vehicle and wanted to encourage you to buy the option.

I'm going to keep the antenna on my dash and just kinda stick it there so thats not a real problem but I want to hard wire it.

Where is my input to do so? My friend has an M3 and said it was very easy, he just went through the glove and his "aux" was there.

Keep in mind I'm a total newb and don't understand very many technical terms. I throw around "aux" but don't really know it that well other than it being an input??
