one of my friends just bought one, and wants to know what would be a good amp to run it

any suggestions?

Depends on what version he has, 4ohm or 8ohm
The sub has an RMS of 350 watts so the amp your talking about might be a little overkill.
The box he is using is a big factor as well
Might I suggest this amp, its alot cheaper and a very powerfull stable amp, that won't drain to much on the electrical system, I had one of these running 2 10w3's and it sounded awsome, when i switched to 2 of the amps, one running each sub it sounded even better

If its the 8ohm version your going to be hard press to get the most out of any amp, even with the 4ohm its still running bare min, but the 8ohm is even lower than that

I had the w1 12" and it hit like crap. Was running with a jl 250/1 amp. Decided to upgrade to a W3 12" and when I did I found out I made the best decision possible. It sounded like Heaven

 

did u keep the same box?
