led's running down batterie?

Hey everyone, I just recently installed some red LED light strips under the dash. I wired them in with the map lights so they only turn on while I open the doors or turn the ignition to acc. However i've noticed that they remain on in a very low dim even after everything turns off. Is this normal? And im not any electrician, all I did was peel some of the coating of the respective wires (blue/white and grey), wrap the wires of the led's around each one, and electrical trapped them up. Also used small zip ties to minimize movement. Is this any fire hazard?

You'll be fine. I have LEDs in my map lights and they're lighted dimly at all times. LEDs draw little to no power.
