well, I've been trying to search, but I just can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I was just wondering where the stock XM receiver module would be located on an '06 SS/SC. I had my radio out for a bit earlier, but didn't have too much time to look around for the XM module, I was busy doing some other things. I also really don't feel like ripping apart my whole interior just to follow a few wires to figure this out if someone else can help out.

I was trying to read on here to find out, and some people were saying it is built into the stock head unit. If that is the case, then where does the stock XM antenna plug into and/or would anyone have any schematics or diagrams of how the audio system works in these cars? If the unit is external from the h/u, then where might I look to find it?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

 

The xm reciever is mounted on top of the rear deck in between the 6x9 speakers......took mine out when i did my custom system in my 06 2.4 so im pretty sure your SC would be the same.......Later
