Lose my DIC?

I have a really nice pioneer h/u just laying around and i was wondering if i will lose my DIC if i install it?

I would but a kit like this to hold it

ya if u want to keep onstar it gets expensive. otherwise your good. the dic is completely isolated from the stereo in cobalts
