Started my retrofit last night after work and all I have left is aiming and resealing. That will have to wait till after Labor Day though...vacation time. The Morimoto H1 5000K bulbs are out of stock at TRS right now anyways so that kinda works out.

I'm just curious how you got them to fit without have wing nuts and bolts?

was a little "cloudy" in that area.

how much did you take off of the back of the reflector bowl?

thanks!

Looks like you're almost done
Aiming is really easy with this projectors, shouldn't take long.
Did you have to modify the reflector with the h1 projectors?

Thank you sir

These projectors don't need wing nuts and bolts, you just clamp it in the reflector and secure it with the projector locking nut.

I had to completely sand down the reflector bowl for the projector to fit, it wasn't a big deal.

retros

On your morimoto minis, what did you order for your retro install? Was it plug and play?

Im looking online and wanting to do my first retrofit, but unsure what i need or how to do it...

I see what you mean by locking nut. Seems pretty easy actually.

Remove halogen housing for halogn bulb, trim area around old bulb insert and screw in projector.

The wiring harness comes with it if you order it in a package. Makes it plug and play essentially.

all you need for retros is headlights, projectors, shrouds, bulbs and ballasts, and a relay harness. oh you also need some patience. lol

the quality of this projector to the buyhids projector is night and day if you do some research (meaning the morimoto is higher quality)

Working with these projectors is easier than working with the FX-Rs

I spent under $350 including headlights.
You may want to check www.hidplanet.com, there's lot of retrofitters from California there.

I finally had a chance to take some pics of the retros mounted on the car,
Output shots coming soon.

I highly recommend this projectors to anyone looking for an affordable yet efficient retro, and what better place to get them than The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications, excellent customer service, custommer support, top notch quality products, couldn't ask for more.

Now onto the pics.
