I had the light leaking issue with the morimotos but I just applied aluminium tape to the side/top openings to fix it
Sometimes you need to mod this projectors to get the best outtta them.

The g1s don't have side openings right?
I read some thread about the g1/g3 @ hidplanet and that projector performs way better with a lil modification to the shield.

I have had mine installed for a couple months now and they just arent aimed as well as I would like. I have them adjusted as high as the stock headlight will allow but thats still not high enough. I have them mounted as flush as can be, at least I think so. I will have to redo them I think. I sanded the reflector piece on the back and everything. Not sure what else I could do.

yeah, I looked at your install posts on here and followed along to the T...I think the locking nuts on the back of the H1 (what i have) are a little different than the D2S version. I am gonna have to open them up again soon and see what I can do.

the locking nut (and bulb hole) on the H1 minis are smaller then the D2s counterpart.. that being said the H1's seem to have a brighter beam / wider width

Yes, they are very different.
Did you trim the reflector the same way I did?

I dont think I widened up the hole any more than it already was. I just sanded the back of it so it was nice and flush. Maybe I should widen the hole when I open them up. That would allow for the projector to sit farther back inside the reflector and be more secure.

Yup. Great option for someone who doesn't want to/can't do a full on retro with an oem projector.
