Question Nav System

Hello,
I just ordered a nav system to go with my Jensen VM9224 DVD receiver. I have the receiver already installed. The reciever is not XM compatable, but my factory radio was. So here is what I'm wondering.

How easy would it be to use/ replace the stock XM antenna with the antenna for the nav / gps reciever?

Jensen NAV104

I have a Cobalt SS/SC Coupe 2006.

it might be possible. if you have the shark fin its probably alot more possible but really ti depends on how much u really want to do it. chances are your aftermarket nav receiver antenna has an ungodly large connector and the hole in the roof for the wire is small. so there's a good chance ur going to have to drill out your roof. buy a unibit or cheap unibit rip off from harbor freight sears ect)

I have a uni bit already. I baught it when I installed my OTTP Stg 1 HE. Then I used it again to install my trailer hitch reicever. I looked in my shop manuals to see what it would take to remove the Stock XM antenna. Shouldn't be too bad. Will have to pull the interior upholstry down on the cieling though. That should be fun. The hardest part is going to be routing the wireing.

Project for tomarrow!

Cool thanks
I dont have that style antenna but I'll see what happens.
Maybe I can just swap out the stock antenna with the one that came with my nav system. I may have to put RTV around it to seal it but it SHOULD work. We'll see tomarrow when I try.
