Need some battery help!

So I have a couple of amps and I run everything through the stock battery. It works great but when it gets hot here in florida if I push it too much it seems like it just cuts out it seems like both amps just are not getting any power I am not sure if they are overheating and I need better amps that have built in fans or its just the cobalt not allowing any battery to them when I push them. I don't have dimming lights which surprises me do you think I need a better battery or do I need a capacitor or do I need an amp that has a built in fan? Thanks for your help

That's def an overheat issue, no amp likes extreme temperatures.

The battery doesn't decide what it can or can't feed, if you were having battery problems you'd see other signs.

Do you have all your amps running to one ground source? They need to be seperately grounded, and if they are then I'd check the pos terminal on your battery and your grounds. If none of them are loose, then you need airflow back there.

On hot days I usually keep the 40 split side of my rear seat down so the air can move.. I have overheat problems if it gets into the 30's here and my car's been in the sun, unless I pull the seat down.

Hope this helps!

most likely the amp is either overheating or going into protect from too low of an impedance.

well after your amps cut out pull over and feel if the amps are really hot. If they are really hot, check your wiring to make sure it is the correct impedance. Also what kind of amp do you have. I had a really cheap one and it had basically no heat sink and it got hot to the touch in 5 mins

It doesnt seem like it the battery or your electrical system since you have no dimming, so it must be with the amps
