need suggestions for new audio
Im looking to buy new speakers a amp and a new head unit. Right now I have mb quart discus series speakers all around and a alpine cda-9856 head unit. I also have 2 jl 12w3v3 with a 500/1 amp. The subs and the amp for the subs are the only things i want to keep.
Looking at this HU http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...159553,00.html
and dont know for the rest.

depends on how bad you dont like those MB quarts... For a stock sytem i usually recommend speakers first then deck then amp. But since you already have pretty much everything i would get the amp first to try and see how you like the speakers with power... then get the HU and speakers last.
o ok i gotcha , well how much would you want for them ? !
o and also what size are the MBquart's ?

the mb quarts are 6 1/2 and 6x9's. I probably wont be selling them till october-ish. But when I do ill get in touch with you, the speakers were 350 together new. I dont really know whats fair for used speakers but they'll be about 5 mponths old in october.
doubt it... especially if the speakers weren't amped before. a new hu may give you better signal if the original was crap but with an alpine HU before there isnt going to be a giant leap in quality (if theres one at all)... and some speakers just require alot of power to get moving. a similar example of this is my amp. I blew the power supply on my T3kw so i got it fixed rather easily but the repairman wanted to tread softly and use a small fuse on the power wire on the initial start up to protect the amp (the amp has a built in fuse but it was a 300a fuse so not much help in diagnosing problems. Anyway after a few fuses we found out it took a 50 amp fuse to start up (meanining 50 - 40 amps to turn on) And thats the highest he has ever seen in 9 yrs of repairing amps.
