Need wiring help for a light
Ok I have an aftermarket sidemarker light on my car. It's a simple two wire hook up for the light to come on. Positive and negative. Well I can wire the light to come on with the taillights or flash whenever the turn signals come on. It's one or the other. Well my question is how can I wire the lights so that they are one steady with the taillights and then when I engage the turn signals, they flash. But when I stop the turn signals they go back to being steady on for the taillights. How do I wire that?
using diodes and resistors can accomplish this...add a resistor so when its steady on its slightly dimmer...and then add a diode to the wire that will blink and when it blinks it will blink full bright

that isn't exactly what I wanted, i know the setup if it did have a high and low mode like the stock taillights but I wanted it so that the taillights were on, then when the turn signal was on the light blinked
I can probably figure out a way to do that but when it flashes it'll be backwards with the signals, so when the signals flash bright the light will be off, and when the signal is on the "off" flash it'll flash on. Have to use a relay to do this though. I can't think of an easy way to do it so that it flashes in sync with the other signals and still come on with the tails. Forcing a high/low mode would actually be easier, since that would just require some diodes and resistors, and the flashing will be in sync. The sidemarkers I installed on my fenders are just tapped into the front turn signals for simplicity.
