Question New head unit install help!

Well I finally got around to installing my new head unit and everything was going good and now I am stumped. Here is the deal I am installing a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT with the Sosche GM13SR as my harness and a pac audio swi-ps for my steering wheel controls. My problem is that I have power to my head unit but I have absolutely no sound coming through the speakers. I have the 4 RCA jacks off the harness plugged into my front and rear RCAs on the back of the unit. I have tried adjusting some things in the menu with the unit and no dice.

Does the remote turn on wire need to be hooked to the factory wiring for the factory amp?? I also have a red/black that isn't hooked up and the manual says its for (VSS speed pulse signal (A/C Voltage when in motion).

Any help would be great because I am at a loss as to why I don't have any sound.

If you have the pioneer prem audio I know you have to use the remote wire to hook it to the stock pioneer amp... just don't know what color it is since I dont have the pioneer system...

If your an ss then you have the pioneer btw...

After posting I got to thinking and I haven't actually hooked up the factory amp which is why I get no sound.... I am going to run out and look for the remote turn on wire from the harness and connect it to the head unit. "Hopefully" that solves the problem.

The two harnesses I am using are the black 16 and 14 pin connectors.

Okay I got it all figured out. Sometimes you just have to walk away and boom it comes to you.

So I was looking over both harnesses and neither of them had a blue/white wire for the remote wire. Either I somehow pulled it out (which I doubt) or it got lost before I got it. I did buy it off Ebay for 40 bucks so anything is possible. So I took and pulled the other remote wire from the 24 pin harness and tried the pins on the harness it should have been on until I found it. Found the correct pin and I am in business. I got everything put back together and it works great. I will post some pics later.

Here are a couple pics of the new head unit installed. I got everything for around 400 bucks so I figure its a pretty good deal.

DEADMAU!!!!

legit looks nice... told u it was the remote wire...

i'll probably be doing something like this with my LT when my one year onstar is done... I figure they give me directions and connections for free... then ill pay a one time fee for a real gps unit... in the mean time i can save up...
