use some tape thats is pretty thick and put it on the under side of the deck where it hits, that should help, and yes dynamat helps a ton with other rattles

i hated that sound more then anything. So i ripped the thing off threw some dynamat down then cut small holes in the middle and used to zip ties to tie it down tight. Then finished off with corking the whole thing in place. The thing doesnt rattle one bit any more.

I threw Hush Mat (same as Dynamat) down on both sides of the deck lid, I mounted my rear speakers in the top part of the deck lid as to weigh it down, then I placed two inch thick strips of foam (arts and crafts section of Walmart) across the the whole thing. I found the part that made the biggest difference is when I coverd all the holes on the underside of the deck lid, I had to remove my trunk light and relocate my seat release but wow did it clear it up nice. Get some foam tape and shove it down the gap right at the base of the window

The car is actually in getting the rest of the stereo work done on it right now, First nice Long Weekend and I don't have my car. Anyway its getting some fiberglass work done on it so the whole trunk is emptty and easy to see the dynamat that has been layed down, I have to go there on Tuesday to check on its progress, (Mondays a Holiday) When I go I had planned to take pics anyway so I'll take a few of the deck lid, Thats the best I can do, sorry

no dynamat isnt going to help it not hit the window... go with what spun is saying... very good advice and he has a whopper system so if he can get rid of the rattles i would do the exact same measures as him

honestly the corking and zip ties are really not necessary. Trust me if you just cover every piece of metal you see under that board with some dynamat, The rattles will stop.

i got a kicker l7 runnig off a 1000watt rms kicker amp, and top of the line 6x9's powered by a kicker 650 rms amp, and i get no rattles.
