OEM Alarm system

I have an 06 SS/SC and it came with an alarm system already installed. How do you all feel about these alarms? Do you feel they will work just as good as a store bought alarm?

Thanks

they will only work with entry i believe. like i could disconnect the battery and the alarm wont go off or nuttin. also if your windows are down and you hit the unlock from the inside i dont think it will go off. you may want to invest in a aftermarket one but make sure you get like a two pager setup or something kool so you can monitor it sisnce u cnet get autostart since its stick.

If the windows are down and you reach in to unlock, the button wont work. If you pull the little plunger, the alarm will go off with the door opening. Also, if the car has a key stuck in the ignition, with out starting, the alarm will go off, and the fuel delivery system is disabled. If you try to start the car with a standard key (key with out passlock), I beleive the car goes into a lockdown for 15 minutes, with the alarm going off. If you force the trunk open, and cause the level switch to trigger, the alarm will go off. I also beleive that if you pull the cylinder out from the trunk, the alarm will go off (can't disconnect the battery with out opening the trunk). *Dont mind my spelling, I cant type tonight.*

That's great to know hyperboimmv! Do all the Cobalt SS models come with the alarm already? My window stciker that I still have just mentions the passkey antitheft system and it has the alarm installed.

I beleive everything with RKE (remote keyless entry) has the content security system.
