Optima Yellow Top

My battery took a crap a couple days ago and some idiot turned in an Optima Yellow Top for a core at work so I switched em out.

I listen to lots of reggaeton and I may be hearing things but the bass sounds better. Slightly stronger thump.

At first, I figured it because my old battery was slowly getting weaker and weaker and I got used to that sound so this is just normal bass I used to hear at 500 miles when the car was new. Now it's just amazing.

So I'm not into sound systems but I love music.

Can a yellow top affect the bass???

A better battery can help with bass. I had a yellow top in my explorer and it worked great. Anything that is a AGM battery has a better discharge rate than a normal battery so you might notice some difference.

A deep cycle is meant for holding voltage over time. This is why ambulances and other emergency vehicles usually come with deep cycles, like the yellow top. It is also why stereo competition folks use them.

Any battery with a high cranking amp capacity will provide better bass with bigger setups, but a high cranking amp capacity combined with a deep cycle battery will provide the same results for extended durations.
