pre amp outputs?

i have a 4 channel amp for my speakers. I was wondering if i'm going to have to buy an aftermarket head unit w/ pre amp outputs or is there something i can do w/ the stock unit to compensate?

right you would need 2 line output converters (front and rear) but going aftermarket is a better idea. Fryedaddy asks a good question thou bc if ur amping the stock pioneers your going to have some issues

alright, i got a LOC. it has 2 white and 2 grey wires coming out...which set is for the right speakers and vice versa? do i have to disconnect the wires feeding the front and rear speakers right now and connect the rear speaker wires to the LOC, and then run the wires off of the amp to the front and rear speakers?

the white is left the gray is right. you want to tap into the wires but leave them connected so the speakers still work. this needs to be done after the amp so at the back speakers and either at the amp or kick panel or whatever for the fronts
