problem with my head unit

I was on the highway listening to the music when suddently the music stop but I still can hear the bass coming from the sub.My idea was that i have blown the amp in the head unit. For now this is the point where i am.Do you guys have any idea about that.My whole setup is pioneer 7500mp head unit with a pair of kicker ks 5 1/4 component,a pair of infinity reference 6x9,a rockford fosgate punch 200 mono amp and an audiobahn sound Q 12' sub.

Amp overheated and went into overload protection mode. After it cooled down, it continued working normally. Thatts my guess

doesnt sound like a prob w/ pre outs unless you have an amp for the interior spks.....bad preout = bad signal to amp=amp wont play....if there is no amp just a sub amp it is not an output prob....may be protect mode on amp in unit but that is hard to trip....may be a blown speaker and that can cause a rapid switch in the impedance load on the deck and cause it to shut off from overload that way
