Projector Headlight Dim

I've had my projectors hooked up for a few months now. I normally don't do a lot of night driving, as I work during the day. However, we went out the other night and I noticed my right headlight is a lot more dim than my left, in fact, when switching to high beam, the light throws out the same amount of light. It's almost as if its stuck in the daytime running light level. Could this be the female connector that attaches to the stock male connector causing this problem?... It wouldn't be a fuse because then it wouldn't work at all right?... Here's some pics as a visual reference.

And actually I just tried the old headlight in place of the new one here and the old one was also dim... So what causes a light to just go dim instead of all the way out? also it doesn't switch to bright, it stays dim just like the other
