You havent even looked at the bulbs yet? Lol. Well stick your multimeter to read Ohms, DO NOT hook the meter to a powered circuit while reading resistance. See if your meter has a continuity function. If it does, read the manual on how to turn it on and what the beep and no beep means from the meter. If not, just stick both leads to the positive and negative sides of the bulb. If the meter reads infinite resistance or OL then they are toast. If you get some number(not sure what the resistance of an hid bulb is) they would be fine.

I actually just did some research. This would work with a normal bulb but not HID. You might need to use diode test if your meter is capable.

Well I was told earlier in the thread that it should be around 12V.

I looked at them but from what I could tell they looked fine. I'll see about the diode thing

Finally found out the problem

So I finally figured out what the problem was: relay harness.

I went to a local store by my sisters place and was going to buy new ballasts but they actually went out to my car and helped me troubleshoot what the problem was without charging me. They used one of their ballasts and my bulbs work. Then they used one of their bulbs and made sure my ballasts work.

That leaves the relay harness. But before we could get any further the old man owner told the workers that if they keep helping me theyd have to charge me.

So now the only thing im not sure of is if its the actual relay harness or if the its just the connectors(they were extremely corroded).

Well clean up the connectors and use some dielectric grease on the connectors. Then if that doesn't work buy a new relay they're fairly inexpensive

I plan on doing that tomorrow.

Since my HID system includes a relay harness does that mean the DRL issue should be bypassed?

Bought a new relay harness from retrofit source. Finally came and I hooked it up and wahlah. Lights come on just fine.

If you have the latest morimoto ballasts that it's probably where your problem is. The latest version has problems firing when they get cold. Check on
Update: Morimoto 3Five and 5Five DSP Ballasts

Yeah I don't think that was the problem. I installed a new relay harness and everything works great now.
