I wanna do the install on mine. I'm pretty good with wiring and reading electrical diagrams, you said you did or would be posting a walkthrough/how to?

How much additional "stuff" did you have to pick up to make this work?

Just a bypass....im doing a quick walkthrough of the system

Yeah I think im doing it too as my current lock system is taking a dump on me might as well fix it with something nice to add just waiting on that vid from alero and maybe get started

that was the original plan, however when i pulled that piece...there was a lack of room behind it...probaby could have made it work if i tried. also the diameter of the button was close to the height of the trim. But it would look good there.

A push-to-start button was on my future mod list for the longest time, along with a Passive Keyless Entry (PKE) system (doors unlock automatically as you approach the car and lock as you walk away) but now that the balt is not my DD anymore it's become less of a priority.
Seeing these recent posts makes me want it again though ;-)

Thats pretty much my setup, and I really like it.

Xpresskit xk06 version pkg7 ....it's the most basic bypass you can get. It only overides immobilizer

Oh if you go with the full System you gonna have to go with the dball or fortin bypass.

There we go thanks. Fortin only has the evo-all for $99 doesnt seem to bad if thats all I need that extra. I hope you can post your vid soon to have an idea on how to install the start button
