putting in subs through the backseat.

Hi all, My GF just got a fusion sub, box and amp from some guy on ebay problem is its like 3/4 of an inch to big to go in through the trunk and about the same too big to go through the backseat... i know there has to be a way to remove at least part of the backseat to make this possible but i would like some guidance before i start ripping her backseat apart. her car is a G5 but that really doesn't matter i dont think...

thanks in advance!

just drop the seat down and sit on it then try, everyone just about has to do that, also there is at least a 4inch diffrance between the back seat opening and the trunk so idk why it wouldnt just slide in

There a re 4 bolts hiolding the back seat in but 2 of them are under the seat the other 2 are clearly visable when you fold down the back seats theyt have black brackets under them. Your going to need a 13mm ratchet style wrench, to get them out.iHeres the problem, getting the brackes that alow the seats to fold up and down at the sides past the plastic moldings is difficult to do without causing damage, also beware of the powerline that runs from the battery, it is attached to the bar or runs though the bar at the bottom of the seats
BE CAREFULL, take your time

the seats on the outside hinge have a push tab that lets them pop out

dito for me....i built a custom enclosure and had to cut it in 2 pieces to get the 1.3 cubic foot enclosures (X2) iand 12 inchers in my truck. I just smashed down the seat and forced it in (without the subs), then installed the subs in the box after it was in the trunk. pics of my box are on the finhead showcar thread.

take off the lower seat cushion and it will let the back part of the seats fold down further.

I'm running a single 8" RE. Loud enough to make me content. I did the DbDrag in highschool and outgrow that quickly.
