Question with Stock sub

Question with Stock sub

can the 10in sub be removed from the black plastic box it comes in????

i want to replace it with out haveing to add a big aftermarket box in the car

Do not take my word on this because I am not sure, but I think that if you put in another sub, I assume you would want to throw in a more powerful one. I don't think the stock amp would handle anything more than what is already there.

But I could be wrong, maybe that amp has tons of more power in storage, lol.

more power might not be totaly needed an aftermarket sub would be more efficent and have better throw.

just an idea in need of an answer

it can be removed, via taking the box out, there is a bold in the back that actually holds the sub in, and also the screws in the front..... it is a good sub, very heavy and dvc.... a 250 watt mono amp would make it sound 100 times better

also, it is a sub that has been built to work in that box..... if you go with a different sub, the magnet may be too deep, and it may not fit, also the box may be too small to accomidate the sub for good sound, a lot of it has to do with pressure levels, if you replace the sub in the stock box, you may actually end up loosing sound quality, and performance... also i would not run any other sub off the stock amp, as the channel only gets like 100 watts, or 75, or something....
