Well I installed a JVC double din DVD reciever in July and with the recent drop to freezing temps the receiver took a dump on me. Now JVC is fixing it for free but I'm facing a 6 hour drive on Saturday and it won't be done until sometime next week at the earliest. My question is can I put the stock radio back in so I'm not stuck with a gaping hole in my dash no music and a car full of friends or will it be locked and unable to function. I'm leaving in twenty hours so time is an issue thanks in advance for the help

 

it will be fine your radio is set for your car.

 

So no need to have it unlocked or anything because that will be perfect

 

afaik they only get locked when switching to another car.
