Radio won't turn on

So last night I popped a CD in the radio and it played, this morning when I went to take it out, it was stuck, great... Just now I took out the radio and disconnected it from the car and took off the faceplate so I could "manually" remove the CD. I removed it just fine. Put the radio back in the car and connected everything back up perfectly. It won't turn on, theres static"ish" noise but the faceplate doesn't show anything and the buttons do nothing. Help!

My cd player does the same thing. Usually if you just wait a few minutes then try to eject it again it will go. If not after you turn the car off it will eject.

It was jammmmed in there. I had to push a little white thing down to remove the CD, the eject mechanism probably wasn't functioning right. BUT the main problem is that it won't TURN ON!!!! Grrrrrr

So I found out by driving at night, the radio background lights light up, it plays music, I can change volume and channels through the steering wheel controls. Just no faceplate anything.
