Rear camera vs bumper sensors….
Rear camera vs bumper sensors….
I have just recently installed a double din Kenwood DVD player in my cobalt. The unit has a rear camera input which enables you to mount a rear camera under your back bumper which will give you a rear view through the DVD screen when you put the car in reverse. I have been thinking about getting this due to the fact the back window tint is very dark, thus cause poor sight, especially at night. Also I live in a very congested city (Toronto) where I often have to squeeze into tight spots on the road.
Another option is to get parking sensors, which are placed on your back bumper and tell you the distance you are from an object by signaling you with a beep.
My question is, has anyone used or have either of these and how effective are they?

Do the camera, my boss has a 350Z roadster and he has a licends plate frame with a camera thats connected to his dvd screen and it makes a huge difference when driving/backing-up, espically in that kind of car
