Screw that man (relying on the ebrake)
Just install a hydraulic line lock solenoid to a switched (like the HVAC power lead from the remote start relay, not ignition) 12v source and plumb it into the rear brake lines.

Need help...anyone know where I can find the 12 volt brake switch connector wire on a 2009 Cobalt? The wiring info I have suggest that it would be just above the brake pedal which is where it was on my old 2005 Cavalier. On the Cobalt there are 3 wires...yellow, brown, white.....should be Lt. Blue.

Hey can i get that wiring schematic?
Im trying to figure out how to bypass the alarm on my 2006 cobalt ss lsj cause for somereason it is stuck in theft mode and i have tried everything to get this car to do a secirtiy reset so i can start and drive the car all i did was ha e the hood open for an hour or two then i went to start it and when you put the key in to start it the car/lock stays on doesnt blink while keys is in system and light doesnt tirn off after no amount of time of tries. When key is out the theft light blinks. Do you know anything about how to fix this

I have an old one that came on the key ring with my car keys but its not working for some reason even though when i had a locksmith out to look at my keys he said that the fob has a signak or sonething i bwlieve but it does t work to lock or unlock or trunk nothing im trying to get this locksmith to come out and program a keyfob to my car im hoping that will help solve the mysterious car going into theft mode for no reason just replaced pcm did the key relearn and the crank relearn drove around some then i put the bumper back on i had the hood up for a bit and then i went to start the car and the infamous carlock symbol when i put key to start then the light stays solid after i take key out the light blinks i guess showing the car alarm is on. Any help is awesome. Thx
