Remote Wire for Amp

Hey, I have a quick question, I know they say it is the best to run the remote wire from my amp to the windsheild wiper fuse or sunroof and I dont have a sunroof so can someone tell me where the fuse is located, I know there is a fuse box under the hood but where is the fuse box on these things in the car. I have an 07 SS/SC.

Thanks!

Front passenger side, there is a panel that pulls off on the bottom of the center console or whatever you want to call it.. . Look in your manual thats how I had to find mine. And I also hooked my remote wire up to the windshield wipers.

So is it down by the passengers left foot? My car didn't come with an owners manual for some reason.

splice the wire and put the fuse and the wire in the same spot.

You can use the fuse slot for the sunroof even though you dont have a sunroof. I dont have one and I get power out of that slot. My leds are hooked to it. just my 2 cents

Awesome instructions!!

This is great advice...us newbies have a chance at saving hundreds of dollars. Thanks VRCobalt!!!!

Here's my next deal:
I want to put both of my amps in the trunk.
I have 2 remote wires but 1 isn't long enough.
Can I connect a single wire into the fuse box, then splice them at the end so I can have 2 diff wires to go into both amps?

yup... that's perfectly fine. Or even better just run a jumper from one amp to the second.... check out the FAQ for other advice as well
