Removing Stock Antenna

This may be an incredibly n00b question, but I have searched and I cannot find anything that really explains this. But how do you go about removing your stock antenna?

I have taken a wrench and tried just unscrewing it, except that I don't seem to be making any progress, I've sat there and unscrewed it for like five minutes. Am I just retarded? haha

Thanks.

I may, but I wouldn't mind removing it all together since I have Sirius.

Werd! Unscrew that FM B.S. and use a real radio like XM. FM is not music!

i took my antenna off by using a pair of pliers and a washcloth/rag wrapped around the antenna bottom...installed antenna adapter to match my car, one of these days i want to shave it completely down. FM sucks.

LOL, take it in to the Stealership. Sounds like your antenna post is broken, and you might wrap up a wire down below and rip it. let them do it, I hear the carwash is usually the place they take it to remove antennas, side mirrors, and other useful things that break off of your car in there.
