I am doing a project with my tail lights. I have it all put together... but, I need to know how to seperate the wiring to where i have a seperate brake light from the signal light. anyone know how to do this?

You would have to run all new wires for the rear lights. Youd have to make the brake lights run off the CHMSL, and youd have to make the turn signals runn off the front turn signals.

disconnect the signal or brake wire, whatever one you want from the harness, and run it to whatever you want to illuminate for braking/turning. remove your brake light harness, get a test light, turn your blinker on, see what one flashes

The signal wire and the brake wire are the same wire. The body control module directly powers the rear lights, if it wants it to blink, it blinks it, if it wants it to be a brake light it makes it a brake light.

My way is pretty much the only solution I am aware of, its not "hard" its just a lot of wire to run.

"3rd brake" = "CHMSL"

You can place wires from BCM module to rear-side ... using Front-Turn pins ...

If you want - i can post image about it ... because I maked it in my Balt for additional rear-turn signals.
