Stock Radio Help?

Ok so i purchased a OEM radio with the USB function. It has a scratch on the screen. Is there any reason why I couldnt take my radio apart and swap the screens? Also Since my car did not come with the USB function, Could i still use this feature if my dealer flashs the radio to my VIN?

It sounds like from what I have been reading up on it that it isn't a problem to be able to use the USB once the HU is flashed with your VIN. As far as swapping the screens, I think It would be possible to replace the plastic screen with your head unit as it should be the same size. I don't think that part of the radio has changed since the 2007 HU's came out.

From what I have heard (at least for the SS/SC's) is that there may be a problem with getting XM to work, but seeing as you have a SS/TC I think that you won't have much of a problem.
