Which set?
So I decided to spend some money on my Cobalt and would like some info on the Speaker Choices I am looking at.
I am Looking at JBL GTi 608 MKII or the JBL GTi 660 set, one I can get for about 300$ the other for about 1200$, I've looked them over and am finding it hard to decide. If someone with some time and some experience at comparing stats can give me some input I would greatly appreciate it.
660 GTI's
608 GTi MK II's
Thanks for any assistance.

the 660 GTI's are going to get a bit louder with the same wattage and they also have a larger range of frequencies, but it is the upper end frequencies where the speaker gives you the larger range.
This is my opinion which comes just from the stats as I have not heard either set of speakers. But I would save yourself the money unless you plan to buy a very nice amp as well and you are looking for competition sound reproduction. As a daily driver with a moderate amp and no high quality crossover capibilities ( such as an upper end sound reproduction eq ) those upper end frequencies are not going to be very noticable, as it is actually approching the upper threshold that the average human can hear at anyways.

Don't know much about sound systems but they both look good. I'm fine rolling with stock set up but I would really like some yellow subs and a black/mirrior finish or yellow amp to go with the cars colors. Sometimes I use my trunk though. Good luck on the sound system.

I'm looking for Loud and Clear, I'll be putting in one 12" sub with 1200 Watts RMS to it, and was planning on doing 2 sets of GTi 608's (all the corners) with 115 Watts RMS to each corner. If I go with the GTi660's I'll probably bridge the amp and only go with one set in front. (about 200 Watts RMS) I am planning on going with a Pioneer AVIC-Z2 headunit (which I don't know if it will output up into the 30khz range) I don't know, I think once I deceide on the speakers I will figure out the Amps though. I guess the real question is, will the Headunit be acceptable for the High end speakers.
