my shift light came on last night i swear to god and i have a ss/sc

 

that = bad! it means something toataly diff in our cars!

 

i hate that damn shiftlight (in my 2.2) pisses me off.... tells me to shift at 2k rpms. even when im going uphill

 

agreed, every cobalt SS/SC i've ever driven in did not have an operable shift "dummy" light. In sunlight you can see where it is, but that's just because our cluster is mass produced on a production line. The only dummy light i've ever had on is when I had a manual 2.2l

I'd get that checked.

 

Nope, it comes on in stage 3 when you activate the 100 octane mode.

 

i have a 2.2 and it has never turned on..

 

That's also wierd because I know it works in the US G5s

 

Don't think it's activated on the canadian version of the 2.2
Never had mine light up either.
