****!! Broke a clip

So i was installing my Ipod adapter and went to put the DIC trim clip back on and snap a clip off. I was able to dig the metal clip out of the dash but it wont go back on the plastic trim peice. I'm kinda pissed off about it, but It can't be expensive for a small piece like that

Anywhere online where pieces like that can be purchased?

But the piece wont stay in. It's the clip closest to the steering wheel

I had this happen just bend the little fangs on the clip so the cross each other on the two sides and it will slide right back on!

I broke a clip for the fuse cover on the passenger side, it still fits nice, just gotta make sure the rest of the clips are in or you will hear squeaks.

There is only two clips...thats why it doesn't fit right...the other one, the whole plastic piece had a bit of a break in it....ahhh im gonna call a junk yard

When puttin the dash back together should I put the middle piece in before this piece? Maybe thats why it's not fitting properly

Either pop the radio trim panel off and take one of the middle clips, or just go to a dealership. I'm sure they have them there.

Yeah my clip is off on the radio bezel near the trim piece that goes across the dash above the glove compartment. Ive put it back on several times but the plastic is all messed up.

try this put tape around the plastic tips where the clips go and bend the clips fangs so when you put it on the plastiic tip it will grip. Push clip nto tip tightly for every broken clip and push the trim back into place and it should work..I used eletrical tape.

i broke a couple off on my trim when i was taking it off so that it could be painted. To get it back on and to stay in place i just simply opened the clip back up with a pair of pliers, placed it on the plastic tab, used pliers to close it again, then put some JB Weld over it to make sure it stayed in place

Bending them back has always worked for me. The trim around the radio goes on first. The the piece with the DIC buttons. Good luck

This is how I did it but I can't get the piece to stay in there snug.

the trim on a one of them is broken, but a few of them snaped in half, not quite sure how, i am just having a hard time finding them, dont really want to pay $1 from the dealer (not sure just over estimating the price)

Is it because the teeth are bent out...if so the just bend the teeth back down & it should slide right back on. when you pull the teeth dig in & if the clip stays behind the teeth bend out not allowing the piece to go back on!
