Sorry Noob question

So I'm no stranger to installing stereos but I have never done one in a car with steering wheel controls. My friend just got an 05 ss and has a Pioneer touchscreen dvd player that he wants installed. What all is needed to install this ,other than the mounting kit and the wiring harness, for the steering wheel controls to work. And is there anything special needed to interface with the factory sub? Thanks alot

You'll need to install the PAC SWI-PS interface: Click Here
Just follow the instructions that come with it and you'll be good to go

ya i wouldn't mess with the steering wheel interface if you can get away with it. but harness is 70-2103, dash kit 99-3302 (single din) 95-3302 (double din) and the gm antenna adapter
