I am curious as to whether anyone has done any modifications to their car system to improve sound imaging or add surround sound?

 

never read it but ive read similar ones.... btw that article is about front stage sq type systems not surround sound.

to answer ur question not much at this point... i took out my stock speakers/amp, added an amp for the fronts, made a custom tweet pod but its basiclly like the stock pioneer one, changed speakers and even made my own lil custom componants by changing my metal tweets to silk for a less harsh sound. but for now thats it

 

Yeah but the article has a link to another which talks about surround sound.

I used to be sponsored by a shop with a guy who competed nationally in SQ
he made me sit in the driver seat, and I could literally hear the singer walking across the stage, ****** nuts

Yep i did very nice hu. its a great unit for a clear signal. i just sold it for 1100.00
I do have my Audison amps for sale, im wanting to do a new set up now.
And the Alpine status F-1 the 900 for sale if you now anyone in SQ.
