Sound System Question

ok ive read this thread https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...hlight=adapter


i cant find the rca input adapter at circuit city, radio shack, walmart ne where and plus i cant find the schematic for the wiring. i really dont like gettin flammed and ive searched for the answer...........FLAME SUIT ENGAGED

all the views and no response?

Look for something that is called a high to low level converter. A bunch of different companies make them. Some of them like fosgate does some signal processing with the conversion. Alot of people will say that the cheap ones are all you need, but if you want something that gives you really good sound reproduction you need one with signal processing.

That third one in the link above - SLC4 SPKR LEVEL CONV 80W

You should be able to find that one at walmart. my local store has it anyway.
Plus, once you click on it you can "Find a product dealer" near you.

They carry the line converter at circuit city, best buy, car toys etc... If somebody there told you they don't have it, they were wrong or didn't know what you were talking about. Ask somebody in the install bay

If you're lucky enough to have a local car audio shop, try them.. they usually have all the special knick-naks..

A lot of amps also come with the ability to hook in to high level (regular speaker) inputs, instead of preamp RCA's.
