I just recently purchased a 07 cobalt lt and the door speakers aren't working, (no door chime/turn signal click/music) so after doing a bit of searching its quite obvious that the speakers are fried, i just bought a couple of new speakers and before i go put them in im curious to if i need to disconnect the battery before installing them?

 

always disconnect the battery when you are going to play near electrical wires or fuel.
