Starting issue

I have a 2006 SS/SC, I had speakers and a 4 channel amp installed on thursday. I got to the place and they had my car on the battery charger because the battery died but it started right up when I left. I got home and my car hasn't started since. all of the electronics in the car work, headlights, radio horn etc, but it won't even start to turn over. I replaced the battery and the terminals and checked all the fuses and still nothing. The security light isn't on when I try to start it at all. It feels exactly like trying to start the car without pushing the clutch. As long as I have the key turned the check engine light stays on but nothing comes up on my code reader. My dad went out and tapped on the starter a bit to see if that was the issue which did nothing. The place that installed them said basically i'm out of luck because it started when I left. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be or where to start??

thank you!

Check the power at the fuse box under the hood. There is a big terminal on the front left corner, that's where the cable from the battery meets the fuse box, and there's another wire going from there to the starter/alternator. If they disconnected that for any reason it could be loose enough that the starter isn't getting power.

Next steps are to do the normal diag, check for battery voltage at the starter, and see if the small wire is getting voltage when trying to start. If it isn't, then you need to check the clutch switch as you suggested, and the rest of the starting circuit, relay and such.

When it doesnt' start, check the circuit like I said. Let me know what you find and we can go from there. E-brake is unrelated.

Not trying to be a smart ass or anything but the e brake is definitely related. I wiggle the brake my car starts right away

So lift the center console and check the wiring. The e-brake only runs backwards, so unless it's pinching the main harness going to the BCM, it shouldn't interfere with the starting circuit.
