Hello guys. I know that this forum is for COBALT cars, but in Mexico we don't have Cobalt's, just Pontiac G5, but I guess is the same system in most of cases.

My ride is the version 2.4L 173hp's coupé 2006, I guess is the same model as Cobalt SS NON Supercharged.

Now I'm member of ClubG5.Net but they told me that maybe here can help me with some Audio issues.......

Can I install one Hifonic amplifier 1200RMS with 2 subwoofers Soundstream 12" with my Stock Stereo??

Here in Mexico exists just 2 G5's with amplifies and subwoofers but all of them has 7" touchscreen display in-dash, but I don't have money in this moment =( that's why I want to know if my Stock head unit works with this kind of upgrade.

I hope someone can help me, and if possible give me all te details to connect my amp in my car.

My ride has Pionner Premium sound (2 tweeter, 2 front, 2 rear, 1 sub 10" in trunk)

I already saw the HOW-TO (https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-install-system-stock-headunit-85131/) but I don't know if this is the same procces in my car with the 10" sub installed.

ya you can do it exactly like that and be fine. or tap off the sub woofer wires instead of the speakers. either way works so do whatever ur most comfortable with but if difficulty isnt a concern then go with the sub wires
