stock headunit questions
searched for a bit, didn't see anything conclusive
does the base system in an '07 LS play MP3's? i know it has a line-in, but i didn't know if it would play MP3 CDs or not
also, would it be possible to take the base LS headunit and swap it into an '05 SS/SC? my friend is buying an aftermarket system and is willing to give me the headunit so i can swap it out and get an aux-in plug. would i have to do anything special to make it hook up and work with the amp/sub in the pioneer system?
thanks in advance for your answers - help is greatly appreciated!

2. No. For one, even if you didn't have the Pioneer system, the wiring harness is different. Since you do have the Pioneer system, the output levels of the head unit are different as well (ie decks with Pioneer system have low level outputs to the amp, decks without have speaker level).
Now that that question was answered, how about someone tell me why my XM channels just stopped working. i can't even get to the xm band when changeing through the bands. it goes right back to am,fm1,fm2, back to am. WTF
So it doesnt even see the XM at all...I guess if the XM reciever had a problem it may not show up at all like my aftermarket head unit does. I cant remember where all the stock stuff is though anymore but I bet its something like that
