Stock speaker impedances
Changing the sub like that would need an amp change. I hear the sub has a seperate amp.
Back on my original post. The reason I asked was I hate the orientation of the stock tweets. They point way off axis(not pointing directly at your ears). I have some very nice , though large, HiVi 1.25" fabric dome tweeter pods. They are actually designed for home speaker building and thus are 6ohm. I have done similar with different 6ohm tweeters in a 4ohm setup on my previous car. It sounded good because tweeters are high efficiency and on axis, where all the other drivers were off axis.
Though on a 2 ohm setup, 6ohm would not let enough power through to blend well. There are many more factors, but that's the simplest way to put it. Leading to the conclusion: Either do nothing or change the amp AND all other speakers.
Tough decision.
