depends what you're looking for... the stock speakers are enough for me... but some people would say that they're not loud enough... they're better than any stock speakers i've had in a car so far...

lol, i didn't even GET my car yet and i plan to swap out the speakers. the radio itself is 100% okay for me, but new speakers make a world of diff in this class of car. bear in mind, that's assuming that you get a nice speaker to replace the one thats in there. the OEM ones honestly don't sound bad, but they'll distort if you like techno or rap or hardcore.

these speakers sound really good for stock. I think they are better than the infinities i had in my old car. I play rap a lot, and loud. They don't distort, they take a beating

i have the 4 speaker system, the door speakers at first were fine but after a while of listening to loud music with lots of bass the sound quality isnt very good anymore..just bass wise it sounds all distorted(no they're not blown) so i will be changing mine out soon

Are the stock speakers amped? I dont think they are, but either way what is a good wattage range for replacement speakers that wouldnt need to be amped to perform well. Also any recommendations?

Theyre ok for stock but not up to my standards. i have replaced stock with Alpine. and i would suggest swapping out the front doors b4 the 6x9. when i had my stock door speakers and alpine 6x9s in i could still hear the doors more than the rears

thats because rear speakers are designed to be fill speakers there not made to make all the sound

but imo the stockers arent bad but deff could use to be upgraded even a 50 or 60 dollar set would be a good start

I doubt they're amped, and I believe the most factory units put out 100ish watts total. I would think any 50-60 watt RMS speakers would work well, provided they have a good sound.

they re not amplified. The stock speakers are no t bad but they are very ordinary when you compared them to a average set of coaxial(100$).I would suggest to change the front speakers first because of the lack of imaging and definition coming from them.If you want more bass, just buy a amplified 8" bazooka tube and it would be great.

all cars have a factory amp built in. It might be really small, but usually the HU won't put out enough power, especially with the stock head unit

i don't like the either. they just look and sound corny. some of the subs with built in amps are okay, but the tubes are crap. they have a lot of air acting, but no real subsonic sound.

honestly, if you just want a little more boom in your butt, buy a DECENT set of 6x9s for the back. most 6x9s are pretty bassy to begin with and are ample, unless you want a really hard hit.

The only bad thing about the stock speakers is that they are 8 Ohm. basicly house speakers.. lolol...

I'm at a point of changing the WHOLE SYSTEM IN MY LS. I have (not the best Subs) 2 12" Xplods, 5/3 channel Xplode amp with that also. It has a built in Peramtric<<--spelling? lol EQ on the amp..!

Pioneer 6x9's 3-ways. Getting 6.5's pioneer 3-ways. Head unit either Pioneer DEH68mp <--somthing like that or AVH5700DVD touch screen..!!

I will onlyyy amp the SUBS THO... with the after market Speakers the built in crossover and EQ on the radio and with me being somewhat of a soundman.... It should sound great... I'm just at a point of TRYING TO GET WHATEVER I NEED TO MAKE IT ALL WORK.. WICH BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT QUESTION IN A NEEW THREAD I'M GOING TO START!!!!!

being 8ohm isn't the worst thing in the world. AFAIK the reason that most home speakers are 8 and most cars are 4 is to get more out the less powerful radio amps. if they are, in deed, 8 in the stock radio, swaping them for 4s may not be the best plan.

i was thinking they were 6OHM
