stock stereo

i recently change my stock deck and i want more bass out of the stock sub, is there anyway i can add an amp to that sub and make more power producing it?? or is there an amp already that was in the stock sub? don't get me wrong it still sounds good but i want a lil bit more bump to it. I know in the 05 equinox they came as an extra with a amp wired to their stock 8 inch sub so im wondering if i can do the same to the 10 inch pioneer that we have in the ss/sc.

factory amp powers it pretty well and your very close to being maxed out with it. I would recommend replacing both the sub and getting a new amp

whoops i ment under the dash not glove box... under the steering column its a grey box the size of a vhs tape and there are no posted rms numbers for it. stock speakers are 2ohm and sub is a dvc 2 ohm.... the tweets use 2 channels the 6.5s use 2 channels and the sub and 6X9s share the last 2 channels. How its crossed over all all that jazz beats me

nope sry but i can prove to you that there is one with 2 reasons

1. I sold my whole stock system on the site with the amp included so there is an amp.
2. If your installer hooks up an aftermarket deck like there isnt an amp then you will get no sound and he will look like a *******.

Either way there is a stock amp in cobalts with the pioneer system
