stock sub

Okay so first i was wondering where my stock amp is.. Also is there anyone i could get rid of my stock amp and pull out our stock sub and put like a 8 inch jl in that box and get another sub to power it...? thanks sam

Search the "How To" section.

As far as I know, the amp really isn't pushing out enough to power a replacement sub.

You best bet is to find a shallow mount sub that will fit the stock enclosure, and an amp to go along with that.

It would be wired in using a LOC.

There is a how to on all of this.

As far as stock amp location, I am not 100% sure.

I believe the factory amp is up underneath the dash... Just to the left of the steering column.

^^^ yup and it powers all the speakers so long story short you dont want to pull it out

ouch... ahha well could i disconnect it from the sub? and let it power just my speakers then put like a different 8 inch sub in?

Yea that's the general idea. Why don't you go for something a bit bigger than an 8

well i dont wanna put a sub box in.. cause it takes up to much room! any ideas?

the stock woofer is a 10" you can replace that with a shallow 10" for a lil more bass. but IMO its only worth it if you get an actual woofer instead of a shallow in a better box. but thats just me

Yea I didn't like the idea of losing the trunk space but i got a ported enclosure for 2 12" subs and its totally worth it, but if your really worried about it im sure if you just 1 12" decent sub you'd think it was worth it.
