Stock Sub replacement!

I know, I know...USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!

I've been searching for about a hour - seriously. I saw a thread a while back where someone took out the stock pioneer and put in a aftermarket pioneer sub. Had step by steps and the sub spec too. Can someone help me out? Its my day off and I wanna get this done! Thanks!

shallow Rockford Fosgate P3 here, but have a aftermarket amp to power it. Looks nice in the stock box, sounds much better then stock.

Hey SS SCHGD, did you run new wires from your speaker to the harness that plugs into the factory amp? I want to re-wire my speakers but dont want to run new speaker wires to my deck. Is this what you did and did it work out good?

I went with a old school Sony ES Amp, it's a 5 channel and does all the speakers.

And I have a new radio and am using RCA pre-outs to the Amp. SO I did not run wires from the stock amp. If you are using the stock system, and just a amp for the Sub, I would use a Line out-put converter, and you could probably take it off the old sub wires for signal. I'll put up a link for my install thread in a min or two.

Here it is:

I'm still confused. I have a 7" pioneer double din deck right now with an aftermarket amp powering my aftermarket sub. The speakers are being double amped right now and it sounds like ****. I was wondering, whats going on in the first 5 pics of your install? You installed new speakers, ran the wires directly to your amp? I don't want to run a aftermarket amp for my speakers, just want to run them off my deck.

ah, you can find the stock amp under the dash on the left, above the clutch pedal, and then you will have to do some wiring of your own to bypass the amp. the problem your going to have is the way the stock amp output is wired will be a bit different then the new Radio, so you'll have to rewire the speakers too. I had a 5 channel amp to power all the speakers, and I ran new lines to all my speakers, thats what the first few pictures were of.

to fix your problem all you have to do is get a wire harness with rcas on it and connect the rcas to the radio and it will work with the factory amp and they will sound normal.
