Stock Subwoofer replacement

i blew my stock subwoofer, and i needa know if i can take it out and just slap any regular 10 inch sub into its place.

any input would be greatly appreciated

btw: i have 2 10" rockford p1's and a 500 watt alpine amp, so im not "hurting" without my little stock sub

Just measure the mounting death of the box that the factory sub was in and then find a sub that you like that fits. Don’t forget about air space though that also needs to be about the same so the sub functions right.

How big the box is. If its too small the sub wont sound good at all, and hurts it.

How did you blow your stock? Did you have an aftermarket amp hooked up to it?

Wow, it's hard to imagine blowing the stock sub with the stock amp, especially since it is bridged off the 6/9's. I could easily see this with an aftermarket amp, but with the stock amp....
