well i just traded in a 2000 chevy blazer for a 2006 chevy cobalt SS and i had two memphis 12" subs in a big ported box in my blazer. well the box wont fit in the trunk of the cobalt and i was wondering if anyone can give me some specs for a box that will fit. thanks

 

34" x 16.5" x 32" is the largest cube object you can fit in the trunk

 

and hack would know cause he is the stereo guru...........lol

 

I take it that 34 is the length, 16.5 is height, and 32 is width or depth

 

34 is width, 32 is depth, and 16.5 is height

 

so if i was to have a box made what would be a good ported box specs. i dont want the BIGGEST cubed object in my trunk.

To determine the correct size box to make you need to know what size the air space requirements for the subs are, they list them for sealed and ported boxes. Incorrect box size can damage your subs. I have a 13" tall by 16" wide by 16" deep sealed box with 1 12" sub in it and it thumps hard.

 

mine is 35 long 13 high 12.5 deep and i could fit a 16 gallen keg in the trunk too with box in there
