I have a Cobalt SS/SC (06), and I'm looking to mount two 12" subwoofers in the trunk. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good box that would leave me all the space possible. I am not looking for advice on subs, only the box. The cheaper the better, though I don't want it to be horrible quality.

well to keep the most space possible u prob wanna look at shallow mount subs. i have one 12" shallow mount in my trunk and the box is only about 15" wide by 4" deep.

 

2 12s in a tiny ass box will be quieter then a single one in a correctly sized box.

for 2 12s ported you should use ~60% or more of the usable trunk space

 

True but it sounds like he already has the subs bought and in that case I'd just get a tiny sealed box but your going to be missing out

 

Yeah, I already bought the subs, I'm just trying to decide what type of box to go with.
