well it is and it isnt. You need a converter box to convert it over. They sell them at like Circuit City

it converts the signal into a preamp output and gets rid of noise. Its called a Line Out Converter.

You should be able to find them at most electronics places. RadioShack, BestBuy, Electronics Express, Circuit City, and Autozone and such

Give that a try and let us know

It should. You may want to change your remote wire as well other wise when you roll up the window it will screw with the amp

Has the amp ever been used on any other deck ? any other sub? Im pretty sure your ohms are not matching up propperly. My guess is the stock sub is a 8ohm sub, and your amp is prolly dual channel 4ohm. How do you have the amp bridged ? Is it a mono channel amp ? This is [probably] a very easily workable issue.

just threw some things for you to try out.

EDIT: ya after actaully 'reading' some replies, could _also_ be the rca hookup, i can only assume your taking signal before it gets to the stock amp ? hopefully not from the wires directly from amp signal outs. Could be overloading the new amp with the signal in, or not matching the ohm load. From my previous experience that is.

power does not kill speakers. distortion does.

control is the key.
